My second paper, “An Analysis of the Internet’s Effect on Society,” shows that not only am I able to properly cite my sources using the MLA guidelines, but to also make local revisions on errors. When I am citing work in this paper, unless I lead the quote by giving credit of the work, I cite who’s work it is after each sentence. An example of this is within my second paragraph when I use a quote from Konnikova, “it is quite conceivable that we might end up less social in the future, which would be a disaster because we need to be more social–our world has become too large” (Konnikova 239). When going through my work to make local revisions, I often find myself using the wrong tense of a work. A specific example of this is in third paragraph when I originally said, has cause less. Through revision, I changed this to have caused less. Local revision allows me to address my usual errors of tense when writing a paper that I do not normally notice as I write.
